Hello, new here to the forum.
I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find any info similar to what I'm experiencing.
I have a 2012 X1 with the N20B20 pneumatic wastegate.
I had the auxiliary vacuum pump failed and flood my vacuum lines, canister and boost solenoid with oil. I've since replaced the vacuum pump and boost solenoid and cleaned the lines out really well. Everything checked out fine, but when I went to test drive the vehicle I'm now getting boost building three times within one pull with the diverter discharging each time with the third time the car falls into limp mode.
My question is, would this be a symptom of a faulty boost solenoid?(like a defective new solenoid) or has my original diverter finally taken a dump on me as a result of it receiving proper boost pressure again?
Sorry if this is in the wrong place or what not.
Sorry for such a long time since reply, turns out I had a defective boost solenoid. Ordered another one and, poof, fixed
