    BMW 5 series aftermarket struts

Hopefully not beating a dead horse here, but I recently bought a 5 series and its got a soft clunk clunk clunk from the rear when I accelerate lightly from a stop then goes away.

I figure, without opening it up yet, that its a rear strut or spring that's busted.

the NAPA loaded struts are $165 ea

autozone duralast loaded struts are $245 ea

and the ebay kits of 4 are only $260....

OEM are super taxxed and not gonna pay it for a car I bought for $1500 lol

Anyone have anything good to say about the ebay kits or are they complete junk? I work from home and put 1k-2k miles a year on it so I dont need much...

Well, other than a ‘5-Series’ you didn’t provide any detail on your specific generation and model. That’s important info to include.

I’m not a fan of choosing generic ‘loaded’ suspension components to install on a BMW. If it is an American car, or even a popular Japanese car, maybe.

Also remember, you get what you pay for. There is the concept of shopping for a bargain, but paying even less for unknown branded components is even riskier.
