Went to start the car - battery fine all electrical stuff worked fine but no start at all - silence. Tried a different key as that could be an issue.
Yellow triangle with ! and arrow warning light on the dash. So I thought it might be a module of some sort as indicated by the drivers manual
and as reprogramming has to be done by a dealer I had it towed to a dealer.
They were backed up and parked it for a week. When they went to move the car to the shop it fired up several
times no problem and I got a message that they failed to duplicate what the owner had reported! So the following day I was about to go to retrieve what
I thought would be a no cost fix - and lo and behold I got a message that when they went to drive it to the car wash (which is their post repair protocol)
it would not start !!!!
Hours later got a diagnosis - faulty starter motor. A $2000 fix. Wow. Maybe it was faulty wiring or connection as the starter obviously worked the day before!
Thoughts? Any other stuff I should get done while they are working on the car?
Sorry - wrong section obviously!
