Help requested from fellow 745i owners'
I love my car! I love the way it drives but I really need to make sure that the engine bay is back to stock.
My vacuum pump is always on and it seems to be connected improperly... There is a mysterious hose floating next to the vacuum pump .. my vents are stuck on defrost..

You are going to need the Electrical Troubleshooting Manual for your car. Unfortunately, these are for the US cars but most of the wiring is the same US to €.
Not owning a 745, I can only spot a couple issues. The brown wires on their last legs seem to be the fluid pressure and brake fluid level switches. They all make the brake light on the dash go on if there is a problem.
Some cleaning and then some orderly refreshing of all the taped splices would be in order to move forward on this project.
Indeed what I planned to do tomorrow

Thank a lot. Cheers

Heater core is bypassed.
Unplug the aux vac pump.
Valve cover to manifold braces missing.
Missing atmo sensor by main relay.
Wrong exp tank cap.
Hydroboost pressure switches leak and so do the return lines.
Household wire nut by battery and garbage wiring.
Bad wiring at CTS and missing cover on distributor cap.
Old fuel lines and leak prone fuel damper on inlet.
Vacuum lines all in incorrect spots.
No AFM cap
All I caught in about 5min of looking.
I make E23 parts.

Ford, MB, and GM round out the pack.
It is unreal how similar this is to a 733I. the layout and pieces are nearly identical.
The vacuum pump thing is super common. that will be a process to go through it all to get your HVAC working properly. There is lots of that info on the boards here. The best thing to do is unplug the pump until you can tackle that job. the pump will overheat and die and they are expensive.
When you decide to tackle it I can send you some pictures of where everything is supposed to go.
Hi all
Just went to the forum postings about the 745s and realized that many of you are very familiar with this very car. This is "DaneSpann*'s Alaskan 745i. I am the happy current owner since 2020. I LOVE the car and plan to make us all proud and finish what Dane started.
Cheers
Next steps.
1) Install the full Buffalo interior replacement that I acquired over a year ago.
2) Fix the sagging rear SLS suspension which stopped working all of a sudden (2 weeks ago) and won't raise the car any longer at startup or when parked (as it always did). The only thing I did differently on the car was to have a mechanic flush the transmission fluid... (Shifts superbly)

3) replace the front shock mounts (cracked). Got the part already.... but I might as well put new front shocks (I am not sure if these were recently replaced). I could not find brand new start mounts so I settled for kmac stage 2. Was that a mistake?

4) put AEM electronic Boost controller (although I am hesitant and think it might be an overkill for a daily driver always operating for the most part to the limits of getting a ticket).
....Truth be told I am just looking for an excuse to have those 1
Quad VDO gauges!!
5) Paint it to its original AgateGreen/AchatGrün color
6) install the already acquired BBS RC090 17x8.5 with 2inch front and 4inch rear lips.

Wish me luck!!!
Of course all of the above would be after sorting out the vacuum pump, wiring etc ..
Cheers
