I have a BavAuto Scan tool which basically is the Peake R5 housing. Is there a way to take the tool apart or am I regulated to just breaking the plastic housing?
But why?
You can just break it, why not.
The Peake tool is essentially a tool of antiquity with huge limitations.

I mean, but why take it apart?
Nowadays phones are so smart that they can be a complete diagnostic suite of tools for cars, with live logging of sensor data, etc. That was the meaning behind my last sentence.

I hope this helps someone in need. These tools are still great today and that's why I keep one in my car.
Glad I could help! These tools are awesome on the m70/m73 engines
