    Take apart Peake scan tool

I have a BavAuto Scan tool which basically is the Peake R5 housing. Is there a way to take the tool apart or am I regulated to just breaking the plastic housing?

    But why?

You can just break it, why not.
The Peake tool is essentially a tool of antiquity with huge limitations.

So it's actually a BavAuto Scan tool (repurposed Peake housing). I like keeping it in the car in case the CEL comes on. It's served me well since 2006 and I still have and drive my e36 and just purchased an e46. That's why I'd like to keep it working.

I mean, but why take it apart?

Nowadays phones are so smart that they can be a complete diagnostic suite of tools for cars, with live logging of sensor data, etc. That was the meaning behind my last sentence.

Yeah I know it's limited, but I've found it pretty trustworthy. I have a laptop set up with inpa but I'd hate to trash a tool that works so well for my needs.
