    track oriented interior door panels...e36/m3/4

    so bought a 97 4 dr M3 for tracking.....

it came w/ uninstalled Turtle lab aluminum door panels ....for the frt doors.

but just spoke w/ turtle ........and was told the panels wont install properly if the car has 1 touch window motors...which I have.

What door panels are you using and keeping your electric window motors instlld.???????

Strange. I have Turtle Labs panels in my coupe and my windows work fine. Have worked great the last four years or so.

Sorry man, I don't know if they are one touch? They have an up/down rocker switch and I can tap it once to open or close and hold for partial.

those are one touch golgo13. the sedan doors are way smaller then the coupe and the window motor does kinda stick out.

i believe hard motorsport sold plastic 4 door panels, im not seeing them on their website they may be out of stock or im mistaken. i dont think cutting a flat door panel out around the window motor would be to offensive if it truly dosnt clear.

    i did fint theise though:

Yeah, don't run the MKAH panels. I had them, they're trash. Might as well use a piece of paper instead. I would get the turtle ones and just notch them and let the motors protrude as scoobiedoo mentioned.

Any pictures of this car? I would love to see it, since it's relevant to my interests.

My cars co-builder&driver made these from 1/8" aluminum 4X8 sheets for my 94 E36/4. He just traced the original door panel on a piece of cardboard, made an upper piece out of scrap material using a brake, screwed them together on the door. All he had to do is partial retrace of the lower, measure his bends for the upper. The templates have marks for where the 3 bends need to be done on the brake.

I drive three hours in my shitbox in the street to the farthest track. It's loud but still has A/C hahaha, I also listen to podcasts with my noise cancelling earbuds.
