I have a 2003 Z4 3.0i 6 speed manual with 80K on the clock, the clutch is biting at the very top and with ¼ to ½ depression of the peddle the clutch slips. Is it time to replace the clutch? Where did you have it done and how much did it cost? (I’m in southern NH) Did you replace the Mass flywheel at the same time? I believe it’s a 3 hour job!
Does the clutch slip when driving at low rpm and high throttle? That’s what would make me suspect a bad clutch. I think pedal position is designed not to change as clutch wears. 80k miles doesn’t seem like a lot. Have you ever flushed the brake fluid? If not I would start there, being sure to bleed the clutch slave.
