Thanks! It feels so nice inside now. Almost like when these cars were new.

On a side note, I was behind this one at a light the other day. I wish I could have gotten next to her to ask is she would sell it! I would swap my entire black interior over to it lol.

It was mint from the outside, and what looked like a 70yo lady driving it. I am guessing she is the original owner from the shape of it.

Very, very nice. I haven't been here in far too long, just binge-read all 10 pages of your build thread, I love to see these being rescued and used. Gorgeous machine, you're doing it right.

    Thanks!

So last night i drove the car at night for the first time since replacing the headlights. With all the moving around on the car I never had a chance to aim them. THANK GOD I did have many people in front of me, the were pretty much aimed to the sky. It was like the high beams were on full time, I actually flicked them to make sure the shutters were not open.

I pulled over and angled them down quickly. Not correctly aimed yet but at least I am not blinding people.

With that said, anyone on the fence on changing out the projectors on these cars DO IT! OMG it is a night and day difference (no pun intended). My old E38 always bothered me with how dim the HIDs felt. These feel as bright as my wife's X7 with LED and laser lights.

Super excited about that upgrade. I will try to get some night shots soon when I can adjust them more.

Yep absolutely. The 750 now has the best headlights (by far) in the fleet.

Still need time to do a proper photoshoot, but was out and about today. Have the new rear window molding in, what a difference!

    At least some daylight pics.

Gorgeous. Did you replace the entire upper window trim or just the rear piece that wraps around the quarter window.

You mean the rubber part on the shadow line? I just replaced the front gutter up to the bend then around the rear corner to keep it oe looking.

The molding I was just talking about is the rear window one.

Ah gotcha. I thought you were referencing the rear window trim that has the rubber attached (pn 51138208406/51138208405). I purchased the replacement rubber for mine but I noticed that I can sort of pull it away from my car and there is black clip that goes into a white clip that is broken. I either need to replace the clips and reuse the trim piece or purchase new ones and call it a day. They appear to be snap/press fit into the rest of the molding but I have read reports online that they also glued them at the factory...

You can replace the clip, I bought a bunch. Although one of them that attaches to the trim was broken so I had to glue that. I bought the rubber from that guy i Poland. Really high quality and fits well.

Is it an optical illusion or is the rear left side of the body higher than the right? Looks like the fender to top of tire gap is larger ...

Did I miss where you decided not to or have you yet to install the trunk spoiler?

Its hard to tell in the picture, but the parking lot on the front right side has a pretty big dip, so the ground is not level. It doesnt look like that on flat ground. I also need new front shocks, but it wouldnt make that much difference.

I have it, I have not installed it. I am on the fence. I like them but it looks really clean without it. I did get a front lip though that I am getting painted.

No update, just enjoying driving her. I have a few weeks off at the end of the year, plan on trying to get to a boat load of what I have left to complete with the car (for now lol) and empty the parts bin that’s sitting in the garage.

Stopped by the office today, love how she doesn’t look dated in the lot, just classic and with character compared to the boring crossovers in the lot.

    Amazing Build!

    Hello,

Just wanted to comment here and say this build is absolutely amazing! I have never "subscribed" to a thread before, but I did to this one! Very happy to get emails when there are new posts on this thread. Thank you to the owner of the car for posting all of the pictures and information on the build. The car looks GREAT.

    Happy Thursday to ALL.

Its interesting how you see newer cars that look already dated and old due to their design. I get more looks at this car then when I had my G12 750. Although my E30 gets the most nods lol.

Worked on the DSC errors this weekend. I was getting the dreaded three lights every time I would accelerate a bit to hard in the wet and the DSC had to engage. All my sensors are good, I replaced them all, so I figured it was the module. I got a refurbished one and installed it over the weekend.

Both my rear sensors looked like this. I had already replaced the left one when my Speedo stopped working, figured I would replace the right after looking at it.

The process to swap is pretty easy.

After I was done I had to code the steering angle and reset the DSC code. That was the hard part, I have a newer version of INPA since I have a Win 11 computer. For some reason I could not get the DSC light to turn off. The other lights are off, but not the DSC triangle.

Even enlisted Purp, he tried to remotely install an older version of INPA but it didn't work. Going to have to try to get it programmed by him next week.

Stopped by Ayal (Purplecty) place today and he was able to program my car with an older version of INPA, seems like the newer versions dont work well.

He easily erased the code in a few min. Car is working great now, no DSC code!! Now to send back my core.

That’s good you could resolve the DSC issue. What version was purplecty running?

It was a pleasure meeting you and may I say your e38 is beautiful! That new leather smell! I used INPA 3.01 on a Win7 32bit setup for the SAS Calibration...

Interesting. I'll have to dual boot this PC with W7 and use a777fan's tutorial to load up the V3 of INPA he has hosted in the cloud.
