CCC fault poor sound, no bass, no tones and sporadic sound failure

Hi there, I have a 2009 X6 with the base ccc satnav stereo, so no external amplifier. The satnav works well, as do all other functions but the sound is awful, with no bass and no tone, if I turn the volume up the front speakers let a crackle then stop working, and then its just a very faint sound from the rear even on full volume. The under seat speakers produce no sound. I've had new speakers fitted to the front but no difference what so ever, so presume a amp / internal mosfet issue in the stereo? Is this something anyone is familiar with? any suggested further tests? Anyone repaired themselves ? Cheers

Sounds (pun alert!) like the amp is bad. I’d pull the fuses for the ccc and let it sit overnight. Then reinsert the fuses. Hey, it’s free.

    Hello all,

I'm very happy to join this forum because I have a BMW 325i e93 with 200 000 km in Paris (France) (and with a CCC!)

And I have exactly the same issue as your !
I sent my CCC unit to repair but the issue still the same. (Stereo system without AMP)

How did you solve your problem ?

    Thanks in advance
    Julien

Have you checked the door connection. My F20 front door speakers were cutting out. Was simply a dirty connection in the front door jam. I popped the connector, sprayed it with isopropyl alcohol, then refitted. Repeated process twice. Haven’t had the cut out issue since.

    Update of the day !

    Front door speakers are ok.
But... the sound is ok when I disconnect the driver subwoofer. But... I discover that the driver subwoofer is linked to passenger subwoofer
So, I ordered a new subwoofer and I will test it !
    Wait and see
