1990 325i 2dr. Black on grey (black front seats though) , originally an auto car. I bought it with unknown miles, odo stopped around 39k. Now it has 42.5k (fixed the odo gears when i got it), but title says 100k (nj dmv asked for a # when registering, i didn't know what to say so they put 100k ).
TLDR: mechanically in great shape, but body needs TLC.
Mods:
- 5spd swap (original auto 3.73 diff)
- schmiedmann headers
- mangaflow cat
- Ireland Enginering cat-back exhaust
- 17lbs ford injectors
- sssquid chip (91)
- Bilstein B8 sport shocks with H&R sport springs
- Garagistic X-brace
- bavauto front strut brace
- Ireland Engineering aluminum radiator
- z3 antenna
Other fixes done while i've owned the car:
- Reupholstered front sports seats (heated)
- every part of the a/c system except under the dash and the pipes was replaced. Though no cold air right now.
- suspension bushings mostly (if not all) replaced.
- brake lines from front to back and from the rear t to the wheels replaced.
- brake calipers replaced (rotors and pads too but pads probably need to be done soon).
- right rear axle and wheel bearing replaced.
- led lights in instrument cluster
- Kenwood headunit
- recently replaced CPS, spark plug wires, and coil.
- alternator is aftermarket (pepboys i think)
- rear main seal replaced.
- belts replaced (probably 5 years ago now)
The bad:
- big dent on rear quarter panel.
- dings and dents.
- rear bumper has a crack.
- hood has a crease in it.
- rust spots under the doors (see pics).
- rust hole under battery tray (not that bad).
- interior in meh shape other than the 2 front seats. I was going to swap a black interior in and never got to it.
- radio has bad coil whine. Speakers not good.
- a/c does not blow cold. High rpms when turning on a/c (before it warms up then it's normal).
- cluster: rpm gauge sticks. Temp gauge all over the place. Low gas light doesn't light up (gauge works, bulb is good)
Extras:
- a sunroof
- driver side mirror
- outside door mouldings
- an ecu
- bmw tools for the trunk
