Hello,
Im new here, but not with the BMWs.
I recently bought BMW E39 530D (M57D30).
I want to change or check the injectors with INPA and scan ECU for faulty codes but here the problem comes.
I probably have only 20pin under the hood.
So i pickup my reduction a start scanning. Everything can be loaded (EWS,PDC,Airbag,A/C) but i cant load the ECU of the engine (DDE).
INPA shows – DDE – IFH-0009 NO RESPONSE FROM CONTROL UNIT
I tried PaSoft – bmw scanner v1.4
Same like inpa, everything works but cant find the DDE
BTW – it remind me E46 when i can load all through 20pin but DME only under the steering wheel. (i used same reduction)
So i looked under the steering and i found only empty hole after OBD connector. So i will look more under the plastic if there will be a OBD port.
Any other ideas?
Both cables have soldered 7 a 8 pin. (resoldered to be sure).
Tried two version of IPNA SW (one from bimmergeeks and next one was 5.0.6 if im correct)
Reinstalled drivers for BMW scanner v1.4 (no change).
Solved - the 20 pin reduction missing one cable inside for (k or L line) so i soldered it together and now it works.
