Can you see the end of the key in the lock? I've gotten broken keys out of some lock with a thin section of a scroll saw blade. Put it in beside the key with the teeth facing up, then pull key and saw blade out. (works on some locks)

The other thing to try is removing the lock and pounding it down on something with the key facing down. Sometimes inertia will bring it out part way, perhaps where needle nose pliers can get it. (I don't have experience with that lock.)

O-ring picks with the right shape might work. I had to do that when I broke my house key in the lock.

maybe you can super glue something to the end of the key and pull it out.

A locksmith should have a tool specifically for this task.

as mentioned there's a set of different o-ring / dental picks that might help. i've also gotten them out with a set of plier type tweezers

Did you get it lol? I had a silly thought wondering if a strong magnet from a science surplus store would work. That would be a cool solution.

Find the truck driver and make him pay for it would be my solution.

you can turn it, then you can remove the part then work it on the bench
