Hi guys,
I have an 1984 E28 535i that I've recently swapped an E34 35i engine in, but it fails to start.
It cranks over, and it does some smoll pops when turning, so there's definitely something happaning, just, not enough....
Here's what I've tried and what we know:
-It has brand new NGK spark plags
-It has a brand new Bosch S38 ring type coil
-It definitely has spark, visually, they look strong, all 6
-It has brand, Bosch 4 hole, newer style injectors, and all 6 spray well (tried with OE 3 hole and 1 hole too)
-There is definitely fuel going in, and coming out after the fuel pressure regulator
-The engine has been rebuilt, basically brand new, it DID run in a different chassis, had like 50km in it before getting swapped into this E28
-The harness has been changed, because it was a messed, as far as I could measure, everything is fine there
-Fuel pump works flawlessly
-Putting on, or removing AFM doesn't do a difference
-The car has no idle control valve
-Less or more throttle neither work
-Brake cleaner spraying
-The ECU does not pull the relay for the fuel pump.. relay works, connection is good, which is... kinda sus..
What I haven't tried:
-Change ECU
-Change spark plug cables
-Change rotor and dist. housing (or measure gap)
-Change crank position and "cam" sensors
-Change AFM (don't have another one)
-Measure fuel pressure
-Put oil in the cylinders
What should I try next?
I promised this car for a wedding and have two weeks left with very limited time, really need to get it going :/
Thanks guys!

UPDATE:
Measured the gap on CPS, it's 1mm as should be, and measured 530ohms resistance... BUT, I can twist it a bit with my fingers, which doesnt sound right...
I've uploaded a video, so you can hear and see.
At around 0:49, it's idling (altough catastrophically) by itself, so something really is happening... I'm lost.

The car started today. What I've done today is:
Replaced crankshaft pos. sensor (altough measured up fine..) ERA
Replaced rotor BERU
Clean dist. cap
Measured and cleaned spark plug wires all ~5800ohm
Put a touch of oil in each cylinder
I don't know which one did the trick, but it works now.
However, it idles horrible, like if it had a 400 degree cam.
Ideas are welcome!
(Car has no ICV, I'm controlling idle with my foot)
