It's pretty unlikely that the seat rail has warped. From the video you posted, it looks like maybe one of the drive spindles off of the front motor got bent out of shape.

You'll have to take the seat out. But with the seat stuck in its current position, you're going to have to take some extra steps to manually get that seat forward to access the rear bolts holding the seat frame in: https://zroadster.org/articles/bmw-z...at-removal.21/

I had someone do it so I don't know how but they replaced my motor without removing the seat.

The cables can be replaced without replacing the motor and in this case it looks like the cable may be binding up. I would remove the seat to inspect the rail first though to make sure it isn't stuck on something on that side, like a rock or a coin, which then damaged the cable with the repeated attempts to adjust it against whatever is causing it to bind

I was able to replace the spindle on my 98M without removing the seat or the motor. The spindle was flexible enough to bend and rotate until it socketed right into the holes

Motor will unscrew and come out without removing anything else. 2 or 3 torx screws. Then you can yank the spindle right out (or whatever we're calling the square shaped cable covered by the rubber hose). That should let you inspect it closer.
No way the 1/4" thick steel rail has warped.
