All shops specify 79mm inner diametre for all models Z3 reluctor rings, including Z3M.
So to compensate my big rear tyres (18" 280/40) I had new rings manufactured with 50 slots(instead of 48) to compensate different wheel rotation.
Unfortunately, my mechanic could that he could not mount those because the 79mm was too small, he did not measure what they should be exactly, but 'well over 90mm' he told me.
So, before manufacturing new ones, I like to know the exact dimension I need; I think it could be same as M3 E46 or Z4M, so 94 inner and 98 outside diametre
To avoid taking all apart one extra time; Does anyone know what size are the CV joints or reluctor rings on the Z3M S54?
Hope you can help, thanks!
Welcome to the forum.
I'd like you to consider that you're going about this the wrong way. Instead of trying to fit reluctor rings and CV joints not intended for your car, all you have to do is change tire sizes. A 285x30, or even a 285x35x18 should make the whole ABS problem a non-issue. Or, you could increase the front tire diameter to match your rears, although the speedometer will read quite incorrectly and they might not clear the spring perch.
I've used many massively different-from-stock tire sizes on many different BMW's; the trick is to just match the diameter reasonably closely.
