    338 dme is dead

My 1995 325is project apparently became a home for a family of mice this winter. Specifically the DME compartment is where they decided to call home and it is fried. The dme is a silver label 338 but I can not find much info on that particular dme. Car has no ews, what are my options for a replacement? Would a red label 413 work or would it require some changes? Thanks everyone I appreciate any input on this.

I couldn't find much on the 338 at first but maybe this will help someone in the future. 338, 413, and 506 are all interchangeable if you use the chip that was previously in the car
