    what compound w/ machine can remove 800 grit wet sand marks?

    anyone?..


    most I see is they go down to 1200


    Ill use a DA machine w/ foam or wool pad.

    I would wet sand at 1,000, 1,500, and 2,000 grit. Then cut / compound. Using a touch of dish soap when wet sanding will help lubricate the surface.

    I don't think any compound will remove 800 grit marks.

    Also, what is the finish? Two stage clear coat?

    you nailed it.........that was the most common answer from the pros

    and it worked...


    I stayed w/ M105 and and orange ccw pad........ 2 stage oe bmw paint....clear coat.

    Ill finish w/ m205 and a white pad

    Excellent. The Meguiars Mirror Glaze products are great. After I use the M105 and M205, I generally seal it with the Meguiars M21 Sythentic Sealant or 303 Graphene Spray Coating. (Wait to seal or apply any wax if the paint is fresh).
