Hello,
I have a persistent issue in my 2014 BMW 328xi where code P0882 "TCM Power Input Signal Low" will activate if I start the car shortly after it has been driven for awhile. If it's a cold start I will not get the code. The issue is very reproducible.
I've checked the battery: 12.6V engine off, 14.86V engine on.
After an extensive online search I think the problem could be with a relay that fails when it gets hot. I'm just not sure which relay to change. I know the TCM has a fuse but I don't think failing when hot is a failure mode for a fuse.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Tom

Diagnosing a BMW using P-codes is highly counterproductive. I highly recommend that you take the car to a BMW specialist shop (or dealer) which uses ISTA, BMW's diagnostic computer, and have a test plan run on the actual BMW codes.
The actual problem may be cured by something as simple as updating the car's software. P codes are emissions codes, not for diagnosing a BMW.
