Source For Driver's Side Door Seal

Anyone have a source for a driver's side door seal (51711977727). I've placed two orders in the past week and they were both cancelled...reasons given were "extended backorder" and "no longer available." One vendor that claims to have three in stock wants $540, plus shipping and tax which will put at $600...

I have the black interior and have not found a drivers side door seal. I hear they are NLA , thought about buying the gray one and dyeing it black

Forgive my ignorance here but what's wrong with the $80 ebay ones?

I don't see any felted material on them like OEM.

Fair enough. My door seals are pretty done, too. Maybe I'll go pull some from a junkyard haha

I ordered a set for a track car. I’ll follow up with my thoughts once they arrive.

The link that you ordered from also do not seem to have felted material.

I did not order from the link. I ordered from eBay since they were cheaper. The “link” and ebay products are the same exact thing. What I said about the felted portion was applicable to both.

Brett- are you aware if BMW ended up running a production run on their seals?

They have been scheduled for production for three years now.

I’ll ask my dealer for updates.

I had my contact check last week, and it is still showing as 'in transit' to the warehouse in Germany - which it has been for quite some time. I am interested to learn if the aftermarket option posted above is of any value, even though it is no OE.

I received the set ordered. To be installed still, but there is no felted portion as suspected. Build quality appears ok, maybe a bit on the soft side where the rubber makes a contact seal with the door and window.

These are going on a windowless Lightweight (alu doors). My usage review will be incomplete.

Would love to see some pics and get your further thoughts on these. I was about to order a set for my car.

One seal now has a Germany warehouse delivery date of 2.23.23…..the other seal has no date at all.
