Good evening gents, I have come across a small, tedious, pain of a problem.
my 2006 e90 330i doesn't fill past half a tank, and the breather valve that connects to the top of the fuel pump hat, is disconnected. when you connect it again, it loses all power and will stall without much effort. I've been looking for the vent valve and youtube videos for it since i got the car roughly 6 months ago but cannot for the life of me find anything about it or which vent valve is the right one. any guidence?
assuming you have a 02/2006 330i, that would be the N52 engine. the fuel tank breather valve is in sub section fuel preparation system, Fuel tank ventilation valve with pipe 13907618643 , http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E9...reather_valve/ same p/n is used on E90 +E90 Facelift, +E91 ,+E91 Facelift,+E92,+E92 Facelift,+E93,+E93 Facelift. double check the p/n by using your VIN.
The in section fuel supply you have vent pipe, charcoal filter etc http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E9...fuel_ventilat/
fuel pump items are shown here http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E9...e/fuel_supply/
On my E32 the fuel tank breather valve is in the engine bay, connected to the charcoal canister and throttle valve.
I will move your thread to the E90 sub forum
