transfer case

I had my right front axle and front rotors and brake pads changed. my car drove fine for about 4 days after. I parked it for the weekend for about 3 days. when I started it back up the traction control, abs and brake light came on alsothe speedometer wasnt working. I brought it back to the mechanic and he is now saying the transfer case is bad. Could there be another issue that he caused on the repairs before I have to break my bank account on replacing the transfer case
