N55 with software best oil for many cold trips

hello guys! sorry this oil topic got already beaten to death probably, but I've read so many different answers, maybe I can provide some insight into my use-case and you can help me with an expert opinion - thanks in advance!

N55 with 75k miles, with a software, run it often cold for short trips sadly, also use it in winter (-10°C/14°F outside temps), rarely beat it/track it. would thinner oil be better in this case like 0w30? how important is BMW LL-01 certification?

What oil are you currently using?

If all you do is very short trips, just change the oil more often, or every third trip or so, run it for at least 10 miles. Also, for around town driving, you can keep it in third gear (auto or manual) to keep the rev's up and warm the engine. Your engine will thank you!
