How to remove cigarette lighter socket on 2007 X5 E70

I just bought a used E70, and want to replace the lighter socket with a USB port socket instead.
I've searched this forum, but the only post I found was based on a bunch of photos that were no longer available.
Any help finding a guide on how to get to it? Thanks!

Anyone else looking for this... it looks like the entire center console from the ashtray to the rear seat area needs to come out to access that area.
Here's a youtube video showing how. Probably a 1 hour job just for the removal, at least the first (and hopefully only) time.
The audio is not in English, but the entire process is well documented.
