914 type seats into m coupe?

Hello

Just got back from Hooked on Driving's HPDE at Thunderhill, and I really need to do something about the lack of headroom in my M Coupe.

FYI I'm 6'3', and I have to sit sideways, with my head in the middle of the car when I wear a helmet.

Anyways, I'm thinking of doing something with a 914 seat or similar in the M Coupe.

Any thoughts? I'd like to sit on the floor, to give me enough headroom. I don't really care if the seat is not movable, since I'm the only one driving.
Anyone have any ideas for similar seats?

Several people have posted about this and a handful of people have used aftermarket seats mounted lower. There is even (at least one) guy who re-did his stock seats so they sit lower. Plenty of threads out there on the topic, just gotta search'em up.

Do You have a link? I been wondering about swapping out the stock electronic seat bases to lower the seating position (and shed useless weight). Never found any prior efforts.

And you have 914 seats laying around? If I recall, those have a light, flimsy fiberglass shell that benefits from the surrounding support bolsters.
You should be able to find seats without the power tracks that would sit lower. A real racing seat would be way better than the 914 choice.
