Door Lock issue

Ok. I’m aware of the typical lock actuator failure. I have replaced the lock actuator with a new unit. Here is the issue. The door will only unlock with the key fob or central lock system. It has to be manually locked with the valet key. All the fuses are good, the lock actuator is good (I put two of them in and they both would only unlock). All of the other doors lock and unlock with the fob and central door lock button as they should. Any ideas?

Valet Key or Main Key should give the same result, both of them must be inserted into the lock and turned.

Since you replaced the actuator and the new one(s) have the same issue, then my money is on the body controller unit not sending out the signal on the wire, or the wire is broken.

When you put the key into the lock, you are operating the actuator manually/mechanically, when you are pressing buttons or switches, you are operating the actuator electrically. You report the mechanics work okay, the electronics are bad. This tells me to go after the body module.

Makes sense. Do you, or anyone reading this, have the schematics for the wiring at the door actuator? I can test if I’m getting power to the “lock” function, but I believe there are 7 pins and I don’t know which is which.
