Headlight warning light is driving me nuts

Hello All.
I fixed a dead headlight by replacing the headlight igniter module on the back of the bulb. The headlight works great now, but the headlight warning light won't turn off. I have spent hours searching for a way to turn it off but nothing works. It's driving me nuts, have any of you come across this?

2005 X3 (e83) Dash has two black buttons for 'S/R' and a reset symbol. Like the one below.

Headlights a retrofit? I have the 05 X3...best i can tell you is the buttons you identify have nothing to do with this problem you describe.
For starters best to get a scan tool.
Right at the moment I'm fitting my 05 x3 with LEDs for the first time....and the connection is still H7.

Actually, these are factory-stock xenon headlamps & I only replaced the igniter. The black and red plastic box that snaps onto the back of the bulb. The light went from not working to working. But I still have the 'headlight out' warning lamp on the dash. I'm not averse to buying a sub-$150 scan tool, if that's the only way.
