I have same CEL issue. Sometimes throws a MAF temp sensor code on the stomp test, but not always. Seems to depend on ambient outside temperature. Worse when it's cold.

Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF) troubleshooting (V12) http://bmwe32.masscom.net/sean750/MA...leshooting.htm
then there are 2 air intake sensors at the rear of the engine, here is the one on bank 2 http://bmwe32.masscom.net/sean750/sp...enumIntake.jpg same location on bank 1.
A defective mass air flow sensor is not always easy to detect on the vehicle. Possible symptoms and effects can be: Poor running at idle, increased fuel consumption, decreased performance, message "Transmission emergency program" appears, uneven pull across the RPM range, faults by oxy sensors, overload of the CAT's, error entry in the error memory (rare, as usually not correctly detected by the DME 1.2 and 1.7), increased engine combustion temp. and heat development in full load range, incorrect synchronization of the two throttle valves on the V12 due to deviating air mass.
In case it goes worse you might need to send the MAF to a specialized repair shop for testing and repair, for the US Injection Labs is recommended http://www.injectionlabs.com/home.html

The eml issue is gone and is working properly now the issue was the pedal position sensor was dying but I still have the engine light on idle but goes away when I Rev the engine it's fuel related I got out a code out of it once and it was 2222 but the car idles fine and drives fine as if it didn't have a issue
1222 Lambda Control 1
2222 Lambda Control 2
This code is stored when the DME detects excessive deviations in the air-fuel mixture (too rich or too lean) for longer than 10 seconds. Possible causes: Fuel tank ran empty, Incorrect Fuel Pressure, Injector valve defective or coked,
Engine Temperature Sensor defective, Secondary air leak, Fuel evaporation control system defective, Air Flow Meter defective and/or the combustion is being disturbed by mechanical failure (Spark plugs,, compression,
intake/exhaust valves, ...etc.)

Oh ok so my spark plugs are probably causing it I have some crappy ones cause no one had 12 in stock of good spark plugs so I'm literally using lawn mower spark plugs 😅
