    Wanted M30b32 Block

Have an engine out heads redone and flywheel turned, lots of new parts ready to start re assembly only to discover some serious damage in 2 calendar walls. Long and short of it I need a replacement block. Its an M30B32.

    1984 - 733I

    Block is stamped 3.0,3.3

So far my searches to find another block have come up empty so hopefully someone here has one they can part with or knows where to find one in acceptable condition.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Michael

    Idea off top of head...

Sonic check to see if will go to 92mm, pop in some used B34 pistons. I have seen this done before.

I would think so but never looked into sleeving.

Going to 92mm is a 0.120" overbore basically...nearly 1/8" sizeable so wall thickness is important. First I had seen done was on an M102 and worked just fine.

Since this engine is apart, any chance you still have some stock pistons? I am curious how they measure versus the turbo ones. Vented? Ring height?

I do still have the pistons. I just removed them. I was shocked at the condition. They looked like they were built yesterday after I wiped them down. I can't figure out how the cylinder got that horrible gouge in it. Bering's all looked fine, other than some carbon buildup on the head of the pistons they were perfect. No metal in the pan... Its a mystery. If you tell me how to get the measurements you need I can get them and send pictures if you want. Got a replacement engine on the way, fingers crossed, so I may take the block to a shop and get it re sleeved and build it to sell or as a spare. Everything else seems perfectly usable and the heads are already done.
