    Cool Annual Tune up

Installed New---- Bosch Rotor, Bosch Distributor Cap, 4 Bosch WR9DS Spark Plugs,Bosch Fuel Filter, In Tank Fuel Filter, Air Filter, O2 Sensor and Wix Oil Filter(51374),checked valve lash I/E-.007/.007, and timing 25 D BTDC @ 2200 RPMs, 02 Sensor bounces around from .2-.8V--mostly around .4V or so. Reset the Cylinder Head Bolts in Sequence to Stage 3 Torque.
Checked Warm up Regulator and Fuel Pump, Ambient Temperature 70 F.
    System pressure : 68-70 PSI
Cold Control pressure : 20 PSI
Warm Control Pressure : 50 PSI
Rest Pressure : 30 PSI after 20 minutes

Starts up by a bump of the Starter.

I do this tune up every year.

Where did you get the intank fuel filter? I searched all over and couldn't find one.

How quick is the resting fuel pressure supposed to drop. mine stays at 75psi while running, 30psi when turned off, and drops to 0psi after about 30 minutes. This was before I took apart the engine.

I'm using Airtex in tank fuel pump E8196HDSCI0368.jpg The filter is the white one on the right. The rest pressure should be 25 psi or so after 30 minutes and is the psi between the Fuel Distributor and the Warm up Regulator. If it come down too fast- the o rings in the Fuel Distributor Pressure Relief valve and or the o ring in the Warm up Regulator needs replacement.

    Cool

20 minutes, a reading of 24 psi is minimum for Rest Pressure, that is the standard for 320i cars. Add in check valve and fuel injectors as well plus warm start up problem, Typically flat or cracked-O-rings.

Where do you buy your parts from? If you're doing that every year you might benefit from FCP Euro. I recently discovered their lifetime guarantee, seems like a good deal. I have not tried it personally yet. https://www.fcpeuro.com/page/lifetime-guarantee

    Cool

Did some further tests and Adjustments.

Battery : 12.68V cold, after startup 14.12V, warmed up 13.8V so battery and Alternator-Good
    Ignition Control Module- Good
    Ignition Coil- 21.2-22.4 KV- Good

Reset the Air/Fuel mixture- now mostly around .8V- in the power band area where running slightly rich- this lowers Nox. After adjusting upward the idle will kick up a few hundred rpm's so curb idle speed has to be reduced a little to 850 plus/minus 50 rpms by Idle adjusting screw.
