    Parasitic Draw or something else?

    2018 540i had an oil change at the oil change place around the block. When completed the technician was observed trying to "reset" the oil change service light but was having issues getting it cleared. After getting it cleared drove the car home and since then roughly two weeks ago the battery has been draining and constantly needs a jump every 2-3 days. Before the oil change no issues at all. I know that these new systems are all interconnected to a certain amount of battery draw/voltage/amps and if they don't get it or are reprogrammed incorrectly it can throw things off. Is there a proper reset that can be re-done to get things right? Or any advice?

    1 "Proper reset" might require a stop at the dealer, or some time on a diagnostic device operated by a knowledgeable person. Not having any information as to your state of such knowledge, I can't go there.

    2 Five years plus for a battery isn't a short life, depending on the short/long trips you take, the temperature climate youlive in, and probably a few other things I can't think of right now. Suggest you go to a place that sells batteries and ask them to load test your battery. Just a voltmeter across the terminals won't prove anything, because what you need to start is amps, not volts.
