BMW Audio Harness Locked, how do I open it?

I bought an android screen for carplay etc that came with an audio harness as shown in the picture. It's in locked position and I am unable to open it, any idea how to open it without breaking it? If I apply more force, I might break it.

Had to pull hard enough, opened up.

oh glad it worked out, I am planning on getting the Andrean MMI box (hoping the price would come down .....) for my 2012 X1, which one did you get man?
