Anyone know of a good source for the above size OE tires for a 1990 325is? Or is there another size that can fit on the 14" rims? I have seen some available that are made in china, turkey and the phillipines but I am reluctant to go that route. Thanks
I used to source from TireRack, then one day 195/65r14's from reputable manufacturers seemed to vanish. All I could find at the time were Prius tires, I believe 175.
To remedy this I installed 15" basketweaves, alongside front spacers and a newfound sizing of 195/60. Extra steps to make the tire hunt easier.
After that, the only local place I could find Uniroyal Tiger Paws in this new size was a big box store. Now this past year, they stopped supplying 195/60/r15...
I turned to eBay, found local-ish SimpleTire with 2-day shipping. I enjoyed the experience so, I just checked them for your 195/65's but they only have Maxxis or Petlas. Can't vouch for the brands, maybe you already came across them in your research.
It doesn't seem the production of OE-size tires has expanded since I last looked 5 years ago, a little sad. If your persistent research keeps bringing up only questionable brands, you might enjoy considering the same steps I took to enlarge the available options.
Toyo Eclipse.
Great tires.

+1 Toyo Eclipse. I got them from an eBay seller but they don't seem to have a listing for them currently. Hm.
Summer 2020 I had the same problem and put on some Falken 195/70/R14 from Discount Tire. They're slightly larger but they fit fine on my stock suspension 318i cabrio. Have been great so far after about 3500 miles. I'd like to get some 15" euro weaves one day but for now it's all good. Another thread on this here.

No e30s again.
Yeah I seem to recall only a few months ago that there were some Kumho in the size at tire rack...no more.

Hey thanks for the other thread. I think I am going with General RT43 in the 195x70x14. I should put on the 15" wheels as well.
If I had 2k I'd be into the 15s in a flash... so many more tire options....

Also will a 205 fit the rim??
You can go up to a 205/65 or 205/60, yes.
205/65/14 is very close to your original size
