Roof Racks and Cargo Boxes

I've looked through threads on this but there isn't anything recent, nor is there a all-encompassing thread on roof stuff for our cars.

With the Genuine BMW touring crossbars NLA, I'd like to know what other folks are using instead. Thule? Yakima? Ebay? I think the low profile stuff is coolest - they eliminate the large gap between the roof and whatever's on top.

And who's got a cargo box for their touring? I'd love to see them. I've already got a Yakima Space Cadet for my FiST (see below), but I'll probably want to get something a bit sleeker for the E39.

Otherwise, what other random stuff have you carried on your roof? Let's see it!

We always brought home our freshly cut Christmas tree.... factory crossbars, with long boards fastened with the bike rack hardware....
