any suggestions on an outdoor rated car cover?

I don't have a garage and the 540 sits in the driveway for portions of the winter. I have a Lexus RX330 for the snow days or hauling crap.

Noah covers tend to work well. They breathe well, and dry quickly.

The BMW Noah cover I had let way too much dirt through, they’re not heavy duty enough for extended outside use imho, especially if you have four seasons of weather. After a couple of years mine was dirty and torn in places. You could see where the dirt that got through would build up in drainage areas.
I got a coverking storm proof, not cheap but works really well, and dries quickly even though it’s fairly thick which is important. Has a nice soft inner lining.
In the end I think it depends a lot on conditions as to how robust of a cover you need- will the car be out year round? Will it see snow and rain storms with high winds? Is it in beating down sun all day? Is it under a tree? Etc

I bought one from Carcovers.com, for them saying weather proof and it being a descent price. In San Diego, I really just needed to keep the sun off the paint. That being said, after the few times it does rain, I get so much dirt on the car when I remove the cover. I'm sure it breathes well, and when I pour water from a cup on the cover, it does roll off, but when it's soaked form rain, it gets through. I wouldn't recommend them unless it's a cover for staying indoors.

The covers made from Sunbrella material are probably the best. I’ve had a Jetski cover out of Sunbrella thats over 20 years now, out in the weather year in/year out. It still sheds 95% of rain and 100% of the sun. I have several car covers out of this, and they’re the best so far.
Sunbrella coves can be expensive though.

I bought from them as well. Mine did not soak in whenever it rained and it actually helped clean the cover. But, I haven't used it in constant heavy all-day rain since someone complained to HOA about it a few months ago. I like how they have the clips at the bottom to prevent it being blown off.
