2006 325xi non-start

Yesterday morning my 325xi touring failed to start up. Ive daily driven the car for about a year and haven't had any issue of the sort.

The starter is kicking over and there's sporadic ignition 'coughs' but it doesn't fire up and run. I drove the car the evening before (without any issue) and it was parked overnight. It did get cold overnight, as low as -20°C, which is fairly normal here during the winter months.

I haven't dug too far into the problem just yet, I wanted to start a thread here and compile as much information as I can first.

My scanner pulled a few codes:

A0B4 Engine Start, Starter Operation

2DEC Power Management, Battery Monitoring

2D59 DME Internal Fault: Monitoring, Actual Torque

My initial though was that the battery may have been drained, but it yielded the same symptoms despite being boosted.

Has anyone here run into a similar problem?

See if it will start and run for a few seconds on starting fluid.

Also, with someone else trying to start the car, see if you can feel/hear the fuel pump running.
