Interesting take on E36 Production Numbers

So I did a thing and scavenged the whole internet for product numbers per colour for the E36 M3 and documented them in one useful calculator so you know how rare a specific combo is - https://www.carsaddiction.com/en/pro...tal/bmw/e36-m3

    Capture.JPG

Hope this brings value to your M3s, just note:
    • I'm missing data for Euro interior and transmission
    • No data for South African Cars
(if anyone has this info please let me know)

A lot of time has went into this so I do appreciate a subscribe on my YouTube channel - https://www.youtube.com/c/carsaddiction - if you are interested in anything that is cars.
    How rare is your BMW: E46 M3 - E39 M5 - E60/E61 M5 - Z1 - Z3M - Z4M - Z8

This information should have really included options too. I want to know the number of slicktops and other option deletes.

    My garage lineup.

    99 Estoril is 1 of 33. Coupe - Estoril - Mulberry

Nice, but really, mine is 1 of 1.

It's the only one I've owned, it's never had another owner. ;-)

Didn't think mine was that rare. Based on NA production numbers posted on m3f a long time ago thought it was something like 1 of 250. Would be interesting to add OE wing to the results.

BMW has made their data secure to extract further numbers to include a sunroof, wing, and extra details. Note this is for the M3 only but there is definitely more than 1 Estoril Coupe in Estoril and Black.

This is the table I was referring to. Says I have 1 of 258 Estoril on Black MT Coupes for North America. Your model says I have 1 of 29 Estoril on Black MT Coupes for NA. Neither this table nor your model accounts for sunroof, OE wing, etc. Your model says 1 of 29 in North America, but then it references "USA - sedan/coupe/convertible" - why are you listing all 3 body types?

Thanks for highlighting this and I now fixed teh heading, the 1/29 is referring to USA market which apparently is different from the North American market for the E36 M3.

The real Q that I am interested in is, how many of these are still left. I'd guess anywhere from 30% to 50% are no longer on the road? Unfortunately no way to really tell I'd suppose.
