    Cool E39 Touring rear silencer options

    Hi!

    I have a 530i touring LCI and i'm wondering if someone runs a AC Schnitzer rear silencer on their cars? I also thought about a rear trunk spoiler to go with it, it looks distinct but stylish IMO.

    Im just looking for ideas

    Hi,

    A genuine ACS Touring rear exhaust back box/silencer will be very, very rare to find, if one turns up for you, then great! else I suspect you'll be waiting for years possibly ! Plenty of other options available so depends on what you'd like. For me, I had a local stainless steel exhaust place make up a rear box with my choice of tips and amount of internal sound absorption material. I wanted the large twin ovals;

    Plans are later to get a quad conversion done and i'm likely to go with similar sized ovals.

    For the rear tailgate lower edge spoiler, most who go for one will put the sedan/saloon E39 type ones on, which does look good. I'm looking for another choice that will work and complement the car's design lines

    Cheers, Dennis!

    I'm interested to know if any Dinan exhaust would fit touring?

    Dinan has a 540i Touring muffler - I have one. List is $600. I got one at a sale they had before Steve sold the business. If you look at some of JimLev’s posts, he discusses what he did on his sedan. For custom work, you have options.

    I was told by Dinan, not recently, that the fitment is different on sedan & touring and they had two different part numbers. Although there is no reference to this in current listing. I installed one for touring and wearing it now. Found it a good piece, fit and sound with my M-tech bumper.
