    E83 X3 Bumper Protector / Guard

Hi all - haven't been on here for a few years but recently got back to the BMW life with the purchase of a 2008 E83 X3 3.0si. I'm really loving the car and am fixing up a few things.

I'd like to add on a rubber or metal bumper protector / guard to protect while loading and unloading things and to hide some scratches as well.

I've searched all over and it seems they're harder to find for the E83 (lots of them for the newer gens of X3s).

This is the best option that I've found but it needs to be imported from the EU:

It's very nice and much less expensive than getting the bumper painted and such. I was just wondering if anyone knows of any other bumper protectors out there that wouldn't require the importing fees from Europe (€59,95), and apologies if this is something that's been asked a bunch of times before and I missed it in my search.

    Thanks!

I have one each of these on my '08 E83 and our '21 Pacifica.

Thanks! I'll check it out. Did you have to do any trimming on it for the X3. If you have any pics of it too, that would be awesome. Thanks!

Sorry no pics, and the car is currently buried in snow.

I didn’t have to trim it at all though, as I bought one of the proper width. This means that the edges were all finished. Secured with double sided tape. Perfect solution for $9, I wish I’d done it a decade ago. And being black, it doesn’t stand out like gaudy metal or chrome.

Amazing, thanks for the tip! that would save a lot of money! The other one I was looking at from the Netherlands would come in close to $200 with the exchange rate and such. Agreed that the black doesn't stand out as much too.
