Hello,
Last week I had an error message saying Headlight-range adjustment not working. I brought the car at my local dealership and they said they've found that the rear height control was defective... They changed parts 37-14-6-867-535 and 37-14-6-870-000. HEADLIGHT VERTICAL AIM CONTROL SENSORs. They say that they've also replace rear ride height sensor and did a calibration.
Today, I got my car back, drove home during the day. I take the vehicle at night and a new message appears... Headlamp vertical aim control malfunction... They said the problem was fixed, but it created a new one ???
Any quick fix, reset or I will need to spend more money and time on this. Lights seems to tilt down after after I start driving. Sometimes, message disappear and they seem in a straight position.
I am confused and dont know what to do anymore..
Ideally, reading the codes in the light control system is the first step. The codes are a lot more specific as to what the complaint is about.
It could be they misdiagnosed the issue and didn't repair the original problem.

how can I read the code , do I need carly.. or something like that
Many use the BMW diag software (INPA or ISTA, etc) on windows laptop with an ENET cable.
There are mobile apps that can do it too, but they're not perfect. Bimmerlink, Carly, etc.
