F8x AWE Gen2 Switchpath exhaust review

what’s up guys! I got this new exhaust fresh off the press and I figured I’d give my review on it. I know choosing an exhaust is a tough choice so I wanted to give you my pros and cons of this system.

This is the system I installed



As far as install issues the only problem I had was aligning the X pipe up to the stock exhaust portion. Since this is their new 50 state compliment system it retains the factory cat portion and requires cutting the stock exhaust after them. What seemed to work best is removing the factory exhaust bracket to give them a bit more wiggle room.




The fit and finish is 10/10. One thing that helped me when installing it was leaving all the clamps loose and tightening them from the center of the car back. It seemed to keep everything in place better.





As far as sound goes, the new exhaust is absolutely louder and deeper sounding. Comfort mode still is quiet and doesn’t crackle or pop on decel while sport plus sounds like an absolute race car. There is little to no drone with it either, only noticed a bit around 1800 RPM.

Happy with how the factory actuator valves bolted to the new AWE valve system, works as OE as it should with the factory buttons. I couldn’t be happier.
