I found a good deal on a dinan throttle body from a 1995 325 and was wondering if id have any problems with it on my 1999 M3? I already have a Dinan chip
Their website lists OBDI throttle bodies as not being compatible with OBDII cars, and vice versa.
I'm not sure if the parts are completely different, but I know that when I switched to an M50 manifold I had to run a thicker gasket between the M50 manifold and my OBDII Dinan BBTB to get them to mate up. I'm not sure if that is the only difference, or if they have other differences as well.
Best to shoot Dinan a call to verify about the throttle body.
And by chip do you mean a Dinan flash? S52's/OBDII cars require ECU flashing, is that what you meant? A chip from a 1995 ECU is not compatible with '96-99 ECUs.

Correct my ecu has been flashed by dinan
Bigger throttle body does nothing except making throttle more sensitive. Don't bother
