2003 Z4 Stereo replacement recommendations

I did do a search but most of the threads were a few years old, so decided to ask this is a new thread. I currently have the OEM stereo/ CD player in my 2003 Z4 (ok, it's really my wife's) and if possible I'd like to look into replacing that with something more modern and preferably with Apple Car Play capability. It would be great if the replacement looked orig9inal, but I'm not holding out too much hope for that, but somethign that at least looks good in place (and sounds good of course).

If anyone has done a re-placement and has recommendations, I'd love to hear about your experience (and see pictures if possible).

An update. It turned out the volume/on-off knob went south. I was able to fix it with Superglue. I'll probably upgrade the unit this spring. It's time. Jim
