Recently purchased a 2018 X2. The passenger side tail light turn signal has stopped working. I pulled the tail light assembly and housing, checked the bulb, and the filament is OK. I placed the housing back in the car, and the signal worked again for about a day. Now it's stopped working again. The funny part is the turn signal bulb housing has no wiring, it just sits in the housing that twists in to the tail light assembly, never seen that before.
The driver's side works just fine, and all the other lights within the tail light work just fine.
Do I need a new housing for the bulb ?
I would say just get a new bulb to try before anything else, it's cheap and the bulb maybe on its last leg.
