So still working on this trans swap...what rubber hose can I use for the clutch reservoir? And the drive line was separated before I had a chance to mark it for balance, what can I do to get it close to balanced when I put it back together?
Thanks again!
I see there is supposed to be two white dots???
sometimes there are dots but if you cannot find anything to get it back after searching very carefully, you need to take it and get it balanced at a shop. look for the dots or something along the splines. when i used to split them, i would take a punch and put some alignment marks by doting the metal. and i have seen where a line has been scratched into the metal also so you have a few things to look for. and if nothing else, look for wear lines that match. other wise, you need to find a semi truck repair shop or a machine shop that will balance it for you.
i thought the clutch master came with the hose already attached? if not, you can ask your local parts place for something that stands up to brake fluid. just tell them what you need because they usually have rolls of hoses in the back for people doing odd things. and maybe check some of the online suppliers for bmw parts
No e30s again.
Well mine has the white dots so that's good! Thanks for the response!
On the hose, see my reply in you other thread.
