2011 335ix To Fix, Sell, or Part Out?

I have a 2011 black 335i XDrive. The car still runs and drives but is missing 2nd Gear in the 6MT and has a rod knock. What can I make parting car out? Is it worth it? The body is in good shape aside from a ding in rear quarter panel. I just put brand new DMFW in less than 300 miles ago and new clutch. I really loved the car and wanted to keep but I feel like all the money and time I will spend to get it drivable, I'm better off just parting out and I can probably buy something running? Anyone have any input please?

So, in fair condition, your car is worth ~$4000.
A used transmission is showing at about $2500-3000, plus, say, a thousand dollars to install it.
A used engine shows at about $5000. Install probably ~-$3000


Parting it out is a ton of work, plus you need the space and tools and equipment and .....

I'm going to leave the math to you. Personally, I'd have it towed away. Sorry, not trying to be unkind, it's just a very broken car, to me.
