So, typical m50 broken check valve nipple issue.
I ordered a new one but accidentally got one made for an m60, does anybody know if there is there a difference between them mechanically, or could I just swap the check valves and be done with it and it will work properly? I don’t want to go through the hassle of returning an online order if I don’t have to. (PFR, yellow is original m50 and black is the new m60)
part numbers old and new would help us to help you. Anyway, paste the # of the new M60 valve here in search by number and all models where the same number is used will pop up http://bmwfans.info/

I epoxy that nipple on all my m50 cars. Works fine.

So, finally figured it out. The m50 one I replaced with an old junkyard one (yes, I know. I was on a budget/deadline and didn’t have time to wait for shipping) broke/became leaky (go figure) and as a quick fix I decided to use the m60 check valve. Works even better and looks cleaner imo (minus the hose clamp, it’s what I had on hand)
