Hoping for some insight on this.... I've had my used 2014 528 i x with 120 k on it for about 3 months. Ran fine up until a few days ago. Here's the strange part. It now runs great at any speed up until I go about 20 or 30 miles in distance. Then when I accelerate, and only when I accelerate, on the highway at about 55 will the front end start to rumble. It gets progressively worse especially the faster I go. But whenever I take my foot off the pedal, it smooths right out. That's why I ruled out tire issue....I know it desperately needs a passenger front rotor but again, only happens as I step on the gas...and only after the engine has warmed up and/or gone a distance of 25 or so miles. It will also start to rumble and shake when I accelerate at slower speeds (30 - 40 mph) after the car has been running and rumbling for a while.
I must admit, I did drive on a rather rough road the day before this happened but not "extreme"...just a two mile dirt road with a few potholes and bumps...but it was normal driving...... Thanks
Did you ever figure this out? I have a 2012 F10 2.0 4 cylinder and there is a vibration issue happens more so when cold but still noticeable when warm. I noticed weirdly it kinda improves if I go through the carwash. I'm not sure why. Please let me know what you think.
