Decided after 3 days I'm keeping the 2006 525xi. It's weird to me because it has a n52b30 instead of a 2.5l the model 525 implies.
Anywhoo. Reading through tech info on the engine and e60 models I've noticed the large power spec difference of the exact same engine depending what model it goes in. From 210hp-ish to 270hp-ish.
What's the difference(s) that make the power differences?
Can I just buy them and bolt them on?
Nobody would recertify these machines after somebody screwed with them without any visibility into what they did.

Well.. thank you bimmerforums e6x community for your best help.
I did spend 6 hours finding all the info about the 3 stage intake, the tune, the exhaust and the many other options for extra boom booms.
Today I went to my local scrap yard and got a 3 stage intake for $40. Had to go to another and spend $10 for a good front disa valve.
My new clutch will be in Sunday.
Looks like next week will be an awakening for ye old e60.
