looking to replace headlight lens on my 528i wagon

Hi, I have been looking at eBay for headlight lens for my 1999 wagon but when I zoom in on the advertised pics, they all seem to show facelift lens, which don't have the same clips (I purchased lens a year ago that were advertised to fit and the clips were 100% wrong). Other than eBay, is there a reputable seller of replacement headlight lens? Thanks!

There are really only two options


New pre-facelift headlamps BMW or aftermarket. I purchased the Depot entire halogen lenses for my 528. Look like OE
Buy the new lens covers and retrofit Xenon reflectors and projector bulbs as a bench build. Tons of posts on that option

Last option that is real easy on the 1997-1999 models is to replace your entire assemblies with face lift Xenon w/ angel eyes. You can use the parking light wire on the parking light bulb to power the eyes. It is truly a quick upgrade. Yes you have to splice a few wires but all you need is the entire assemblies with the power packs.

Any one of these steps beats the faded lenses you currently have.

Thanks for the input. I like your suggestion! I don't see only lens options at Depot, though? It seems I would need to buy the whole headlight assembly.

You can buy just the lens assembly from ECS and others.
