2019 740i Audio/Telephone Drops Intermittantly

For some reason, I lose my sound system for about 15 to 30 seconds as I am driving. I have been to my dealer three times and they finally say that it is a bad amp. Bad news is they have no idea when this part will arrive.

The interesting thing is that the sound drops off almost every time the engine shuts down at an intersection. I cannot understand how the issue could be related to this but it is the most consistent thing about this problem.

1) Anyone else have a similar issue?

2) Any ideas on the reason the engine shut off kills my audio?

3) Is absolutely no delivery timeframe now an acceptable answer?

That is weird. What was the dealer’s response to loosing audio when the engine shuts down at a stoplight? I’d have a tech put a digital volt meter on the main audio power fuse to see what the voltage does when you experience a stop/start audio loss.

I'll give them a call and see what they say. It's very annoying on multiple levels.
